Gas tests for recreational vehicles according to G607
Gas tests for motorhomes and caravans – safety and regulations combined
From the end of March 2025, we will be carrying out the DVFG-certified gas test according to G607 for caravans, campers and mobile homes in Füssen.
Legal requirement from June 2025
An important change affects all owners of camping vehicles: From June 19, 2025, mobile homes and caravans with LPG systems must be checked regularly. This requirement is regulated in the new Section 60 "LPG systems in vehicles" of the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO). The gas test will then be required every two years - regardless of the general inspection (HU).
Deadline: June 19, 2025
Anyone who cannot produce a valid gas test by this date risks a fine. Since the legal requirement for a gas test has been suspended in recent years, a test will be necessary for many vehicles. We therefore recommend that you book an appointment early - especially before the peak travel season in summer.
For whom is the exam mandatory?
- For campers who cook or heat with a gas system.
- During first use , after restarting or after changes to the gas system .
Why gas testing is important:
- Protecting your health and safety.
- Compliance with legal requirements.
- Avoiding fines.
Our experts are ready to inspect your gas system according to the highest safety standards.
